CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SUBSTATION AND LAYING OF DUCTS AT STC FRUITS & VEGETABLES VICTORIA

Subject: The existing PUC (E) substation structure at Independence Avenue is in a very poor and dilapidated state; the walls are cracked at multiple locations, making renovation of the substation not feasible.

PUC is opting to construct a new substation, of dimensions 9m x 4m, in order to house new substation equipment. Once the new equipment has been installed, PUC will arrange for the transfer of power from the old equipment in the existing substation to the new equipment in the new substation, after which, demolition works can be undertaken.

Furthermore, PUC plans to install a new set of underground ducts to the new substation which will provide redundancy in the area hence providing further reliability of supply.

  1. Excavation Works (in earth, asphalt and concrete)
  2. Backfilling and Compaction works
  3. Construction of concrete structures (columns, beams, foundation, slabs, etc.)
  4. Demolition of concrete structures
  5. Replacement of roof
  6. Electrical works
  7. Masonry works

Collection of tender: Tender dossier can be obtained from the PUC’s Procurement Office, Maison de Malavois, Bois de Rose Avenue against payment of a non-refundable fee of SCR 500.00 each as from Monday 4th April 2022 to Friday 8th April 2022 from 08:00hrs to 12:00hrs. All interested Bidders should provide a copy of their valid license and are allowed to inspect the document before purchasing the document.

Pre-Bid meeting: A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled to take place on Monday 11th April 2022 at 10:00hrs at Conference Room, PUC Office, Electricity House, Roche Caiman.

Followed by:

Site-Visit: A site visit will be held on the project site starting at Victoria on Monday 11th April 2022 after the pre-bid meeting. 

Please note that it is mandatory for all interested bidders to attend the pre-bid meeting and site visit. Bidders failing to attend the pre-bid meeting and the site visit will be disqualified in the evaluation process.

 Submission of Tender: Tenders must be addressed to the “Chief Executive Officer, National Tender Board, First Floor, Maison de Mahé, Victoria, Mahé” and submitted in a sealed envelope marked “CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SUBSTATION AND LAYING OF DUCTS AT STC FRUITS & VEGETABLES VICTORIA” and deposited in the tender box located at the National Tender Board (NTB), Maison de Mahé, Victoria, Mahé.

Closing date for tender: The closing date for the tender is Monday 25th April 2022 at 10:00hrs.

Opening of Tender: Tenders will be opened immediately after closing date and time: Monday 25th April 2022 at 10:00hrs at the National Tender Board, First Floor, Maison de Mahé, Victoria, Mahé.
