CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPING THE SECOND BIENNIAL TRANSPARENCY REPORT (BTR2)

The Climate Change Department is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified consultants to support Seychelles prepare and submit a Second Biennial Transparency Report (BTR2) to meet UNFCCC and PA reporting requirements while responding to national development goals and allowing for “built-in flexibility” of the country needs in light of its capacities and national circumstances, priorities and needs, while bridging gaps identified. The topics of interest include:
- Chapter 1: A National Inventory Report (NIR) of anthropogenic emissions by source and removal by sinks of greenhouse gases.
- Chapter 2: Information necessary to track progress made in implementing and achieving nationally determined contributions under Article 4 of the Paris Agreement.
- Chapter 3: Information related to climate change impacts and adaptation under Article 7 of the Paris Agreement.
- Chapter 4: Information on finance, technology development and transfer, and capacity building support needed and received under Articles 9–11 of the Paris Agreement and other relevant information on gender and climate change
Applicants may propose to deliver one or more of these topics.
Interested consultants / consultancy firms should submit a proposal that outlines their qualifications, experience, and the methodology they will use for producing the reports. All proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with “Consultancy Services for Developing the Second Biennial Transparency Report (BTR2)”
