REFURBISHMENT AND REPAIR OF STAINLESS-STEEL MOUNTING AND BASE FRAME INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE PRASLIN DESALINATION PLANT

This is on the grounds of restricted qualified sources with expertise in the domain to undertake the necessary tasks within three months following the award of contract.

The plant operates in an aggressive setting, the proposal to carry out refurbishment/repair of the structure, employing a metal grade of suitable resistant properties for the base (e.g. material SS 304, 316), to prolong the lifespan of the units.

The contractor selected for the repair, must demonstrate relevant expertise and experience in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding Technology. The welding and fabrication is expected to be of optimum quality and standard.

Scope of repair work by contractor:

  • Provide materials for the replacement of RO vessels base structure, of suitable metal grade
  • Dismantle and removal of old base structure
  • Fabricate new base replacement structure
  • Installation of new base replacement structure
  • Rust removal and treatment of metal parts
  • Application of protective paint coatings on structure
  • Provide consumable materials to be used in fabrication and installation
