PROCUREMENT OF POLYETHYLENE (PE) COMPRESSION FITTINGS

This is on the grounds of restricted qualified sources that can supply the specific type of compression fittings that can be used under pressure (PN16) during repairs and maintenance works on the water distribution network.

The proposed shortlisted bidders are as follows:

  • Philmac UK
  • Georg Fischer Piping Systems (Switzerland) Ltd.
  • VOK Middle East FZC (authorized distributor for Magnum)

This tender is restricted only to potential PE fittings manufacturers/ authorized distributors that can supply / deliver products as per PU’s specification requirement.

Interested participants must submit their interest along with the following mandatory documents/ product:

  1. Manufacturers full company profile/details and address.
  2. Certificate from Chamber of Commerce in country of origin confirming (1) Manufacturers name/address, (2) Products manufactured, (3) whether manufacturer is ISO 9001/ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001.
  3. Manufacturer’s technical details and literature of the PE fittings.
  4. Detailed Manufacturers certificate of analysis including test, standard and method used.
  5. Details of past supplies executed in the field of supply of potable water distribution products within the past 3 years, to show capability of undertaking such supplies.
  6. If a distributor, an authorization letter from the manufacturer must be provided.
  7. Samples of PE fittings for testing

Any potential bidder requiring any information on this procurement or wishing to participate in this procurement, must contact the Procurement Department of the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) based at Maison de Malavois, Bois de Rose Avenue to obtain the list of required PE fittings to provide samples.

All interested applicants must submit all requested documents / product to the Procurement Director, Room 204, Maison de Malavois, Bois de Rose Avenue.

Deadline for submission of interest should be done no later than Wednesday 26th July 2023.
